How to Create a Facebook Fan Page for your Martial Arts Business

As I’ve mentioned before in my post Create a Facebook Fan Page and Get Social..

“Creating a Facebook fan page for your martial arts school is something you can do to further help attract and drive additional traffic to your martial arts school.  It’s another great social media way to connect with your students, suspects, and prospects. And, Facebook fan pages are free to create and use.”

To create a fan page for your martial arts school follow these 7 easy steps!

1) Logon to Facebook

You will first need a personal Facebook account. If you already have one, login at the top right like you normally do. If not, complete the signup form on the home page.

2) Click “Advertising”

Once you’re logged into your account, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the “advertising” link.

3) Click “Pages”

Click on the “pages” link in the left hand column.

4) Click “Create Page”

Now click the “create page” button in the upper right hand side of the page.

5) Choose Page Type

Click on the “local business or place” box.

6) Enter your Business Details

Enter in the details and agree to the terms (if you accept them). I use “local business” as my category but you have other options like “sports”.

7) Start posting!

Start uploading information to your Facebook fan page!

TIP: If you’re already logged in to Facebook, you can jump to step 5 by clicking here.

If you already have a fan page, be sure to share your link in the form of a comment below!

  1. Nice article, this would have been very helpfull if I found this about a 2 months ago. Its hard to find step by step information on how to create a facebook fan page. This is our facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/weaponsplusaustralia its going ok but its hard to get fans. Well worth reading over for any school looking at starting a facebook fan page.

  2. Is there any way you can create an updated version of this knowledge including the new timeline and apps implementation along with proper etiquette and guidelines (such as not placing your logo or contact info on your facebook cover photo, etc.)?
