It really helps keep me motivated and made my day to read your comment. Also, I taught out of a fitness club for 8 years so I definitely can appreciate what you're doing. It can be very rewarding as you build your base of students and eventually get some instructors that way. I highly recommend this approach to anyone who wants to get started teaching the martial arts because it's lower overhead each month vs. a stand alone facility. I've been in the Martial Arts for 38 years, and teaching for a good portion of those years. During late 80's and through the 90's I've had 3 different store front locations, all of which I'm ashamed to say went belly up.The reason being, I suck at the business end of things. I've taught in my basement/ back yard for the last 4 years and have just recently moved into a fitness club. Armed with greater determination and the information I've read in your site, I feel confident that this time around, my school and I will be more successful.
